Joseph Sapien
Executive Director

An artist, innovator and entrepreneur Joseph received his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Animation from the Art Institute of Phoenix, Sapien launched his first of three ventures in Seattle, Washington. In 2008  Sapien joined the Workforce Development Board and managed the Information Technology, External Relations, and Programs Departments. During his ten years at Workforce, Sapien influenced over 50K youth to pursue viable career paths in STEAM, and entrepreneurship through project-based programs and initiatives. Sapien has over 15 years of experience launching high impact marketing and fund development campaigns generating over 2.7 million in revenue. Sapien strives to push the edge on innovation through VR, AR, and 3D educational programs. In 2009 Sapien created the first in Texas Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Business Challenge which encouraged high school students to start businesses.  Since 2015, Sapien has helped cultivate and increase the robotics market by increasing teachers’ capacity and providing teams with the necessary resources allowing them to compete at national and global levels. 

Jessica Tarin
Creative Strategist

Born in Texas, raised in Juarez, Chihuahua. Jessica is majoring in Journalism with a background in Advertising, Marketing, Digital Filmmaking, Arts & Technology at New Mexico State University. Jessica is a world traveler with a passion for STEAM education because it is the perfect representation of multiculturalism, every letter represents a different field but mixing them creates the perfect example of collaboration and innovation. Jessica is the Creative Strategist for STTE Foundation and she creates programs to foster youth entrepreneurship and technology through STEAM education. Jessica also oversees the PR department of the NMSU journalism dept., president of two NMSU organizations, and she is a HBCUvc venture capital fellow to become a social impact entrepreneur and impact investor in the areas of creative and health tech industries. Jessica’s vision is to create a positive impact in the Hispanic community, society and the world by investing in peoples’ stories. A born visionary with a strong passion for developing valuable-storytelling ideas to entertain and inspire. She enjoys traveling, running, beans, eating veggies, writing and coffee/tea-shop hopping. 

Kitxia Juarez
Product Manager

Meet Kitxia Juárez, Product Manager at the Success Through Technology Education (STTE) Foundation! As product manager, Kitxia manages partnership relations, operates capital campaigns, and presides over fund development for the organization. Scaling STTE alongside her team, Jessica Tarin and Liz Correa, Kitxia is passionate and devoted to impacting her community through entrepreneurial and educational initiatives.
