(El Paso, TX) – May 29, 2018 – The Success Through Technology Education (STTE) Foundation has partnered with the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) Tech-E (Technology Exploration), New Mexico State University (NMSU) Camp Innoventure and Texas Tech College of Architecture Mentoring Program to offer free Summer Camps as part the foundations initial phase of cultivating a tech startup revolution for our region. Camps will focus on augmented reality, applied tech, architecture, and entrepreneurship. Camps are tailored to interested high school middle school youth and are sponsored by Andeavor and other partners.

Texas Tech College of Architecture Mentoring Program is for high school youth and offers youth  a two-week, full-day career experience on how to design virtual futuristic environments. Youth will learn how to operate industry-leading designer applications while working on teams to problem solve, and apply critical thinking that will only enhance the quality of their summer projects.  Campers will receive a complete architecture portfolio kit. Lunch is provided.

UTEP Tech-E Applied Tech is a weeklong, full-day camp for high school youth to learn how to program Raspberry Pi’s to solve common problems in their schools and communities. Campers receive raspberry pi kits, along with other tech supplies. Lunch is provided.

UTEP Tech-E Augmented Reality is a weeklong, full-day camp for high school youth to learn how augmented reality works, how to apply it to applications, and design futuristic environments. Campers will receive augmented reality kits along with other tech supplies. Lunch is provided.
NMSU Camp Innoventure is a weeklong, half-day experience for middle school youth to apply innovative thinking and business development. Youth will learn entrepreneurial skills, creative problem-solving and collective brainstorming. Youth will also practice asking questions and

learning the basic principles of entrepreneurism. Campers will receive a $25 gift card to buy supplies and participate in the local farmers market to sell their products.

Summer Camps are expected to begin in Early June of this year. 

NMSU Innoventure Entrepreneurship dates are June 4th – 9th and June 11th – 16th

UTEP Tech-E, Applied Tech dates are June 18th – 20th and July 9th – 13th 

Texas Tech College of Architecture dates are July 16th – 27th

UTEP Tech-E, Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality  dates are July 23rd – July 27th
