In a landmark collaboration, EduLab Capital Partners and STTE Foundation supported by CREEED are thrilled to announce their national partnership with L’ATTITUDE for the upcoming LatinX EdTech at L’ATTITUDE summit. This major initiative is set to take place from September 12-15, 2024, in San Diego, California, marking a significant stride in addressing the challenges in education, technology, and economic empowerment within the rapidly growing U.S. Latino community.

L’ATTITUDE is the largest business and media event in the nation and is dedicated to showcasing the economic and societal contributions of Latinos in the United States. The conference focuses on the New Mainstream Economy, highlighting Latinos’ integral role in driving American economic growth, and is renowned for its influential leaders, bringing in top names in the industry like Jennifer Lopez, Emilio Estefan, Gloria Estefan, Alex Rodriguez, Orlando Bravo, Daniel Pinto, & Isabella Casillas Guzman.

Building on the success of two previous LatinX EdTech Summits held in El Paso, Texas, event organizers are excited about expanding to a national platform at L’ATTITUDE that will amplify their impact. This year, LatinX EdTech at L’ATTITUDE will lead the education component of the conference, reinforcing action on closing the equity gaps that disproportionately affect Latino and other diverse populations through innovative education technology and entrepreneurship.

National Call for Education Workshop Proposals

In conjunction with this partnership, organizers are excited to launch a national call for proposals for education workshops. This initiative seeks to assemble the brightest minds in education, technology, and equity to deliver engaging and transformative content. Organizers are looking for dynamic proposals that offer insightful and practical solutions tailored to the needs of K-12, Higher Education, and Workforce end users.

The call for workshop proposals for the upcoming LatinX EdTech at the L’ATTITUDE summit seeks innovative and impactful presentations focused on educational technology within K-12, Higher Education, and workforce training tailored to the needs of LatinX communities. Each workshop should last between 45 and 60 minutes and can accommodate up to five speakers on stage. Proposals must be concise, with summaries at most 250 words. The submission deadline is June 30, 2024 with selected applicants notified by July 22, 2024. Applicants whose submissions are selected will be invited to attend the event, and their entry fees will be covered.

A View into the ‘Why’

Excelencia in Education, featured as a keynote speaker at the 2023 LatinX EdTech Summit, recently published the report “Latinos in Higher Education: 2024 Compilation of Fast Facts.” This report highlights significant educational attainment disparities among the Latino population that could potentially restrict their economic contributions despite a growing demographic and increased workforce participation.
